The 51% Club – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website www.the51percent.club (the “Website”), owned and operated by The 51% Club (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Membership

• Eligibility: Membership is open to individuals who identify as female founders or leaders across all industries in the UK, as well as partners and stakeholders dedicated to the female enterprise ecosystem.
• Membership Tiers:
  • Community Tier (Free): Provides access to our newsletter, WhatsApp community, and the ability to purchase ad-hoc guest tickets for events.
  • Founding Member Tier (Paid): Provides unlimited access to monthly Hub Meets, online webinars, the Digital Resource Hub, and priority booking. This is a paid subscription service.
• User Accounts: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username and password. You are also responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• User Conduct: You agree to use the Website in a respectful and professional manner. You will not:
  • Post or share any content that is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, or harassing.
  • Use the Website for any commercial purposes without our express written consent.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website or any other user’s account.
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the Website.
• Fees and Recurring Payments: 
  • Subscription Fees: Founding Membership is subject to an annual subscription fee (currently £51). By signing up, you authorise us to charge your provided payment method via Stripe on a recurring annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Price Changes: We reserve the right to adjust membership fees; however, any changes will be communicated to you at least 30 days prior to your next renewal.

Event Registration and Cancellation

Registration may be required for certain events offered by The 51% Club, such as workshops and networking events. Information about registration procedures, any associated fees, and space availability will be clearly displayed on the event page.

Founding Members must use their Access Code to unlock complimentary tickets. Misuse of access codes or sharing them with non-members is a breach of these Terms.

As spaces are limited, persistent failure to attend registered events without 24-hour notice (‘No-Showing’) may result in a temporary suspension of your priority booking privileges.

If you are unable to attend a registered event, we kindly ask that you cancel your place via our booking platform or notify us by email at girlpower@the51percent.club as soon as possible. This will allow us to make your spot available to another member on the waitlist (if applicable).

Confidentiality

We understand that valuable and sometimes sensitive information may be shared within our online community platform, events, and other member interactions. The 51% Club encourages all members to respect the confidentiality of any non-public information obtained through their participation in our community. This includes, but is not limited to, information about other members, business strategies, and financial data.

By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge the importance of maintaining confidentiality within our community and agree not to disclose such information to any unauthorized third party.

Termination & Cancellation

We may terminate your membership or access to the Website at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.

You may cancel your Membership at any time via your Member Portal or by contacting admin@the51percent.club. Your access to paid benefits will continue until the end of your current billing cycle, at which point your account will revert to the Community Tier.

Intellectual Property

The content of the Website, including all text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of The 51% Club or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, display, or create derivative works from any content on the Website without our express written consent.

Members are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to access materials within the Digital Resource Hub for personal business use. Sharing login credentials or distributing Hub resources (videos, templates, or guides) to non-members is strictly prohibited.

Disclaimer

The Website and its content are provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

We will not be liable for any damages arising out of your use of the Website, including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be settled by binding arbitration in Birmingham, England.

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Website. 

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on the Website. You are advised to review these Terms periodically for any changes.
